Golden cape - Punta Corrente, Rovinj

Golden Cape – Punta Corrente is the first protected park-forest in Istria. Count Georg Huetteroth has made the scenery as a project of a climatic bathing centre Cap Aureo - "Sunčane obale Istre" (Golden Istrian coasts). Later on the park was enriched with arranged promenades and various vegetation, rare trees from Mexico, America and Japan, and especially interesting Himalayan cedars planted in a “Jewish star” form. Today it is one of the most well-known park-forests of the Mediterranean.
