Verige bay, Brijuni

The remains of a Roman Villa Rustica with three terraces can be seen in Verige bay. The Villa is located on the area of 1 km along the coast, and since the sea level has grown the remains of the castle and the Verige port are now submerged. Ancient Roman temples dedicated to gods Neptune, Mars and, it is believed, Venus are preserved in the immediate vicinity of the castle.
